As a Co-signer you will help to establish the credit history of the person who has asked for your help.
Upon approval you will be jointly accountable in the contract for the purchase. It is preferable that you are local to this person as you will be Co-Signing the contract.
The application form will ask for the name and application number of the person who you will be looking to support.

You will need to be either a New Zealand Citizen or a New Zealand Resident and over 25 years old.
Be fully employed with a clean and established credit history.

As a Guarantor you have been requested by your business partner to support a pending application for a new business purchase.
It is preferable that you are local to this person as upon approval you would be signing as a Guarantor on the contract for the purchase when approved.
