As a Co-signer you will help to establish the credit history of the person who has asked for your help.
Upon approval you will be jointly accountable in the contract for the purchase. It is preferable that you are local to this person as you will be Co-Signing the contract.
The application form will ask for the name and application number of the person who you will be looking to support.

Equifax and Centrix are credit reporting agencies. I authorise Gilrose Finance Company Limited (“Gilrose”) to collect, use and disclose my personal information to one or both of these agencies for the purpose of assessing my application for credit and managing any credit provided to me. Gilrose may give my personal information to these agencies, and they will retain that information on their systems and use it to provide their reporting services to Gilrose and other customers.
These agencies will give Gilrose information they hold about me for the purpose of a credit reference.
If I default on my payment obligations to Gilrose, information about that default may be given to these agencies, and they may give information about my default to their customers.

It is preferable that you are local to this person as upon approval you would be signing as a Guarantor on the contract for the purchase when approved.
